I'm Chris Trigueros, a California licensed residential real estate agent with Home Sweet Home Realty. My real estate career began in 1997, with experience in leasing, property management and working with self-managing property owners and tenants in the cities of La Habra, La Habra Heights, Whittier, La Mirada, Fullerton and Brea.

I'm also a California rental-property owner. Through my own experience, I've learned that owning rental property can be a rewarding business when it's managed thoughtfully, maintained properly, and supported by good professional practices.

That's something I want to share with other small California property owners.

I understand that many independent landlords enjoy managing their own properties. They want to maintain control, collect rent, coordinate maintenance, and make decisions about their investments.

But managing your property doesn't mean you have to personally handle every part of the rental process.

My approach is to help owners with the parts where professional real estate experience can make a difference, particularly the beginning and end of a tenancy.

That includes move-out and turnover preparation, tenant placement, screening, leasing documentation, inspections, and coordinating move-in.

Once the tenancy is established, owners can continue managing their properties themselves or choose additional professional assistance.

My goal isn't to take over an owner's rental business. It's to share my experience, provide practical assistance, and help owners operate their properties with greater confidence.

Working with both property owners and renters has also given me an understanding of the expectations and responsibilities on each side of a rental transaction.

I hold a bachelor's degree in Negotiation, Conflict Resolution and Peacebuilding and a master's degree in Education. That background shapes how I work with clients: understanding the process, preparing carefully, communicating clearly, and making informed decisions.

I believe owning rental property in California can still be a good business. And you don't have to do everything yourself.
